On September 23rd, our Chairman Joe Leimkuhler and HWCG Staff had the pleasure of hosting Kathryn "Kati" Kovacs, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the U.S. Department of the Interior, at Gulf Freight Management (GFM), the storage location for HWCG’s source control and containment equipment located within the Port of Houston. We showcased our Capping Stacks and other ancillary equipment to Kati and her talented staff, including Bryan Domangue, Gulf of Mexico OCS Region Director at BSEE, and Wes James, Assistant Director of Staff at BSEE. HWCG explained the operation of our capping stacks, top hat assembly, mudline dispersant equipment, and various adapter spools to accommodate virtually any mandrel profile application in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The HWCG Consortium values the frequent engagement and collaboration we have with our regulators and believes mutual understanding and alignment are critical for the future of our industry.
